A common problem in the three countries is that the population lacks awareness, knowledge and information concerning gender issues and GBV. Many women are unaware of their rights and men are unaware of women’s rights. Young people also have limited information on GBV and its consequences for individuals and society. Therefore, one of the Project’s objectives is to raise awareness and improve knowledge particularly among public (women, men and youth) on gender issues, rights and equality to combat gender based violence. Awareness raising activities have been implemented according to different target groups in each country.
