One of the most eminent roles of the “Combating Gender Based Violence in the South Caucasus” project is contributing to conflict resolution in the long-term in the region through inter-country collaboration.

Inter-country collaboration, networking, knowledge sharing and understanding are promoted through the Project in South Caucasus. Joint capacity building activities have been carried out, regular internet dialogues, protocols, guidelines, training materials have been developed. This helps improve problem solving while building an environment to overcome political tensions between the countries.

Up to now, two trainings on the administration and implementation of GBV surveys have been carried out in Turkey with the participation of technical national experts from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia as well as national project teams. The regional launch of the findings of the surveys will also bring policy and decision-makers, NGOs and other stakeholders from all three countries together and will create an atmosphere for knowledge sharing, political commitment and uniting efforts for fighting against GBV in the region.
