The official launch of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence was held at the Queen Tamar Hall at the Parliament of Georgia on November 25 2009, organized by UNFPA Georgia implemented project “Combating Gender-Based Violence in the South Caucasus” in cooperation with the Parliamentary Advisory Council on Gender Equality.

This year “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence” campaign in Armenia was launched under “Commit, Act, Demand” slogan to emphasize that more commitment and actions are needed to eliminate violence against women and more people, women and men, should demand the protection of human rights, including women’s rights

UNFPA’s Combating Gender Based Violence in Azerbaijan Project has launched the conduction of information sessions on gender based violence (GBV) in the frame of the project’s public awareness activities.
